Accomplishments

1. Continuous financial and technical support to the successful implementation of the PQA Program (since 1998) through fund-raising and other activities

One of the main fund-raising activities of the PQA Foundation is the yearly PQA Forum where the year's recipients present their organization's best practices and winning strategies. This forum is the first public announcement of the PQA recipients about their sucessful strategies and performance practices.

2. PQA Advocacy (Marketing & Promotion)

Aside from newspaper advertisements on the PQA, promotions are mostly done through Roadshows. The PQA Foundation provides technical and financial support in conducting regional symposiums as part of its advocacy program to help Filipino organizations become globally competitive.

Likewise, the Foundation sponsored the creation of the PQA website. Thus, further information about the PQA can now be obtained from its website (www.pqa.org.ph).

3. Partnership development with stakeholders on promoting the PQA Program

a. Memorandum of Understanding with PQAF, PCCI & PQPM
b. Global Competitiveness Program with Ateneo – Center for Continuing Education
c. Member Organization: Quality & Productivity Forum

4. TQM Project with the Public Sector (LTO & LTFRB)

Objectives:
• TQM for the public sector focusing on maximization of people skills with the aim of becoming a model agency through 5S and other quality and productivity improvement programs.
• Replicate TQM Project in all government organizations to help improve government efficiency in the Philippines.

• Ateneo Roundtable Discussion on the Global Competitiveness Program, 20 March 2003, Ateneo Professional Schools, Makati City (Mr. Filemon T. Berba, Jr. presented the draft framework for national competitiveness)

• Dialogue on Quality Trends & Standards for Global Competitiveness, 25 June 2003, The Richmonde Hotel, Pasig City (guest speaker: Dr. Chito Calingo, PQA consultant)
