Recognition for Proficiency in Quality Management

AMERICAN MICROSYSTEMS, INC. (PHILS.)

AMIP is a wholly-owned subsidiary of AMI (USA), producing customized Very Large System Integration (VLSI) and integrated circuits (IC). AMIP’s leadership system is focused on aligning AMIP strategies, plans and targets with AMI’s corporate strategies, as embodied in its Total Quality Leadership Model. AMIP planning process is based on a Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle. Plans are synchronized across departments and management levels, and communicated company-wide. AMIP has embarked on a Total Productive Maintenance program, to maximize the effectiveness of its production system.

CITY GOVERNMENT OF MARIKINA

The City Government of Marikina has consistently demonstrated a proactive senior leadership led by the Mayor with a defined, articulated and communicated vision as well as established and enforced standards of behavior and performance. The program of government is defined and documented utilizing a broadened participation in annual planning. Progress has been achieved in creating an effective and motivated bureaucracy. Consistently, these improvements have resulted to high performance levels and improvement over time of key measure indicators.

Recognition for Commitment to Quality Management

NATIONAL STATISTICS OFFICE

The National Statistics Office’s visible quality commitment of its leadership, led by the Administrator, has encouraged the agency to initiate programs that go beyond the government mandate to provide statistical services and civil registration to the public. Key customer requirements have been identified and considered in the five-year development plan and communicated up to the provincial levels. Processes for the statistics generation and civil registry are clearly defined. NSO’s management has generally good relations with the people; the union participates in strategic decision-making.

PSI TECHNOLOGIES, INC.

PSi Technologies, Inc. has shown evidence of a committed entrepreneurial leadership able to manage their core processes and mobilize their well-trained employees and partners to attain customer satisfaction. Many of their responses to their requirements for the Philippine Quality Award are in the initial stage of being put in place with the “seeds for quality already planted”.
